Wendie is a Montana Native, born and raised in the Bitterroot Valley. She received her Bachelor’s in 1989 from the University of Montana in Missoula, Mt, master’s degree in social work in 2004 from the University of Phoenix in Provo, UT.
Wendie has spent many years serving Montana’s youth in the at-risk populations of Thompson Falls, Kalispell, Arlee, and Livingston Montana. Wendie has served at Altacare of Montana, Western Montana Mental Health Clinic, and Summit Preparatory School. Wendie specializes in working with youth and families- both as individuals and groups, particularly when traumatic life circumstances have occurred.
Wendie believes in a holistic philosophy where her therapeutic view encompasses the importance of investing in each client’s mind, body and spirit. She utilizes evidence-based modalities to treat mental health disorders, aid people through life and relationship challenges, and help individuals gain an understanding through the therapeutic process. She has gained various clinical skills to aid those experiencing PTSD, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, Bi-Polar Disorders, Schizophrenia, ADHD and Suicidality. Wendie is trained to identify risk factors that may lead to self-harm behaviors.
Wendie is proud to be part of the Providence Mental Health team that supports family systems and individuals as a means of prevention. She is eager to help reduce life’s tougher challenges and improve the outcomes for each family member during the adolescent and young adult years.
