Cassie Merten

Clinician

Cassie was born and raised in Michigan. She started her journey into wellness by becoming a Hatha yoga instructor and a massage therapist. Years later, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Montana State University in Community Health and Human Development, leading her to a Master’s in counseling. 

Cassie previously volunteered for Haven working with people affected by domestic violence. In addition to her clinical work at Providence, Cassie also works at The Help Center providing crisis services and has worked with sexual assault survivors through their advocacy program. Cassie has an extensive background in trauma informed care and continued education in emotion focused therapy, specializing in work with couples. In order to best serve individual client’s needs, Cassie utilizes many different therapeutic modalities including: person-centered counseling, CBT, and attachment theories. She joined PMH to be a part of a collaborative group, helping families as well as individuals to provide a holistic approach to counseling. 

In her spare time she enjoys reading, yoga, hanging out with her family and her dog, Stevie “Nicks.”
