Community Outreach Liaison
As a Montana native and long-term resident of Bozeman, Amy Whittle has a deep understanding of our community, its residents and their unique needs. Her inherent ability to build relationships and make connections makes her a perfect addition to the Providence Mental Health team as our Community Outreach Liaison. By building strong community partnerships, Amy is able to connect individuals to the appropriate resources, helping them in their pursuit of health and wholeness.
In addition to her work at Providence, Amy has joined the board of Communities that Care, a group of public officials and community leaders, focused on marshaling community resources to reduce risk factors and promote protective factors for area youth.
Prior to joining Providence, Amy spent six years working as a paraprofessional and intervention specialist in early childhood education. This difficult but fulfilling work sparked an interest in experiencing the family systems model while applying her knowledge of trauma-informed care. Through her creativity, willingness to overcome challenges, and ability to develop protocols, Amy is revered as a fierce leader in her professional and personal life.
In her spare time she can be found training at the gym, trail running, hanging out with her family, or volunteering on the leadership team of Finding Freedom; a local non-profit near and dear to Amy’s heart which empowers community members to find healing through a passionate and supportive group environment.
